About the PCA

The Pocket Community Association is a volunteer-run, non-profit neighbourhood organization serving the Pocket community in Toronto's east end since 2007.

Our Mission

The PCA's mission is to promote a strong, vibrant, walkable, livable, and safe community — while empowering residents through engagement and acting as a liaison with local government and city officials.

The Pocket is one of Toronto's most vibrant and close-knit neighbourhoods. Tucked between Danforth Avenue to the north, Jones Avenue to the west, Greenwood Avenue to the east, and the rail corridor to the south, our community is defined by its tree-lined streets, community-minded residents, and a strong spirit of collaboration.

Our Objectives

  • Increase community engagement and strengthen connections between neighbours
  • Maintain non-partisan, inclusive, and welcoming practices for all residents
  • Address Pocket-specific and Toronto-wide issues affecting our community
  • Participate in local planning efforts and city consultations
  • Foster safety, security, and well-being throughout the neighbourhood
  • Enhance neighbourhood aesthetics and green space stewardship
  • Support development that aligns with community values
  • Serve as an authoritative, trusted voice for the Pocket
  • Promote ecological sustainability and urban biodiversity
